"When my wife was admitted for short-term rehabilitation at Blueberry Hill she was really lost and on a downhill slide. She was sick and I was unsure of whether we could help her. My Mertie was not the woman I know and words cannot express how delighted I am that your team has brought my love back to me physically and emotionally. Mertie has been in other rehabilitation centers but the people here are professional, friendly and concerned for her wellbeing. The management staff is accessible and I think my wife’s nurse practitioner Matt is fantastic. Not only do I have his support but her physician is just as involved. Our son worked here at Blueberry 10-12 years ago so it’s funny how things come back around. The dining room experience is lovely, the food is very satisfactory and therapy outstanding. The staff is respectful of my wife and I and they allow us to visit in quiet and I look forward to getting my wife home with me! You cannot judge something until you have tried it firsthand and I would come back to Blueberry Hill for all my rehabilitation needs and Mertie’s."
“Sometimes in life things happen for a reason and are just meant to be. My mother had been at other skilled nursing centers and her quality of life was bleak due to her progressive memory impairment. She was failing to thrive and her time with us seemed limited. Blueberry Hill accepted my mother after a hospitalization at Lawrence Memorial and it was the best decision we could have made. Thanks to the staff, the warm welcome environment and positive atmosphere my visits with mom are heartwarming .We are now at peace with our choice of caregivers. “It’s comforting to be able to sleep at night knowing mom is safe, loved and being attended to. My mother has been at Blueberry Hill in the past and we were very pleased when the facility was able to take her back for a second short-term rehab stay. I know when I come to visit I can get a full report from her nurses on her status that is sincere, accurate and candid. They pay attention to the small details at Blueberry Hill, be it my mom's care plan or the way the rehab staff is sensitive to her needs as a frail woman who needs staff patience and a different approach to rehabilitation. They give her that and much more! I currently am looking for placement for my mom closer to me in RI but until I find something comparable she is staying right here!” –Mary Z.
