As a former patient with several stays at Blueberry Hill Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center I surely know the ropes of life on a rehab unit. Blueberry keeps me coming back for my medical needs because they motivate me, support me, and have become dear friends to me. No pill any nurse could give you is better than that. Whether you need them or not, my nurses and nursing aides check on me often which gives me a feeling of security. I have recently placed my wife here for her skilled nursing needs without hesitation or regret. She worked in elderly services for 18 years and knows how things should and shouldn’t be. My room has been situated to meet my needs and I feel comfortable. I love my regular “girls” -- nurse Jen and nursing aide Gabby. They give me confidence to succeed. –Robert L.
I have a sunny window bed with a nice view of the surrounding greenery. I enjoy visitors to my room as long as I get my afternoon nap! My room is decorated in warm tones of pinks and done up like home. I like to let everyone know I’m the proud mother of two beautiful children, Peter and Janice, who visit me frequently although Peter lives in Florida.
I have resided at Blueberry Hill for approximately 3 ˝ years, and this is my home now. This facility keeps my room clean and pleasant, and my nursing staff, well, they're great! I previously resided in Manchester Massachusetts, but when I fell ill, I chose to come to Blueberry Hill because I had family here in the past.
As for activities, I enjoy the bingo here, and I love violets and houseplants a few of which I display on my window. I also like to play cards. I visit the Blueberry Hill hairdresser on a regular basis and enjoy that time. May I also mention I have a group of ladies that I attend main dining room meals with. I wouldn’t miss out on socializing! I just consider myself one of the family here at Blueberry Hill!
