District Director of Community Relations

Beverly, MA -- U.S. Congressman John Tierney attended a meeting at Blueberry Hill Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to discuss healthcare reform with area healthcare professionals. In a campaign known as “Save Our Seniors," many healthcare companies have joined forces in meeting with local, state and federal government officials to express concern over the loss of funding all healthcare providers are expected to experience in the coming year.  Congressman Tierney took time to listen to the executives as they shared their stories and expressed their concerns over the ramifications of expected cutbacks in Medicaid and Medicare funding. In addition to the meeting, the Congressman toured Blueberry Hill, meeting caregivers and residents.
